Covid Can't Stop Christmas

Let's face it. 2020 hasn't been the greatest of years, but that isn't stopping some West Allis Downtown businesses for finding ways to spread Christmas cheer!

Letters to Santa Spots:

Santa will have a special mailbox in front of Andrew McCabe: Allstate Insurance on 71st/Greenfield that will deliver letters to him in the North Pole. The mailbox will be there from November 28th – December 20th. Drop off a letter with a return address and Santa will respond himself!

Barbie's has a special and magical mailbox arriving from the North Pole! Stop in at 1412 S 72nd Street and have your kiddos drop a letter off for Santa. All letters that are dropped off by December 12th and have a return address will receive a letter in return from Santa. We also have some special paper if the kids want to use them for their letter to Santa!

Keeping the Community Safe and Warm:

If you have been to B&K Bar Supplies lately, you have probably seen the thousands of masks employee Joann Weid has made! These masks are free, but all she asks is that people who take a mask make a donation to the West Allis Christmas Parade if they can.

Since April, she has raised over $2,000 for the West Allis Christmas Parade just from masks!

Barbie's goal this Winter is to share the warmth. We are looking for gently used coats that we will have dry cleaned and brand new hats, gloves and scarfs to put in the pockets of the coats. We will also put a face mask or 2 in the pockets.

We will have them in our coat closet and if someone is in need they can come in and get a coat with no questions asked. Please help us keep our friends & neighbors warm this winter.
