IT'S TIME TO EMBRACE WINTER

Downtown West Allis Inc and other community organizations are teaming up to bring you a week’s worth of fun, winter activities!

 

Join us as we channel our hygge and explore all the things that make winter in West Allis great!

 It’s MLK Jr. Day, which is a perfect day to give back to your community! Bring your new and gently used socks, coats, and other cozy items to Apostle Presbyterian Church to support the homeless in the West Allis Community.

As part of West Allis Winter Week, we will be hosting a Night of Hygge! Join us for a cozy night of hygge-inspired activities throughout the entire library, including a hot cocoa bar, cookies, crafts for adults and children alike, board games, puzzles, and more.

AURORA WEST ALLIS MEDICAL CENTER LUMINARY DISPLAY

*The "Walk" portion of this event has been canceled due to the rise of Covid-19 Omnicrom Cases at the hospital.

Aurora West Allis Medical Center and Downtown West Allis Inc will be hosting their first Luminary Display* – a family-friendly event to promote walking and raise funds to bring the “Exoskeleton” to West Allis. 

The exoskeleton is a wearable robot used during therapy to help people with leg weakness or paralysis to stand, walk, and regain their mobility and independence. You can visit for more information. 

We need lots of luminaries to “light” the way around the hospital.  Buy a luminary ($10) and add your family name or the name of someone you want to honor or remember in a special way.  On the day of the event– drive by the luminary display and find yours!

Cut-out Mittens ($5) will be also be purchased to display on the windows.

ICE SKATING IN THE PARK

Meet up with your friends at Liberty Heights Park for an evening of ice skating! The LHPNA will have skates to borrow, hot chocolate, a fire pit, and more! Kegels food truck will be on site serving up some of your favorite German comfort foods as well.
