Support Hispanic Owned Businesses in West Allis Downtown

Starting September 15, Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated throughout the country, ending October 15th. Hispanic Heritage Month pays tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.

In our latest blog post, we want to highlight some of our hispanic-owned and operated businesses here in West Allis Downtown!

Owner: Ali Acevedo

Open Since 2019

Location: 1411/1413 S 72nd Street

West Allis resident Ali Acevedo decided to turn his online vintage apparel business into a click and mortar late 2019 when he opened All Goods MKE in West Allis Downtown! Since then, he has added a second location, joined our Downtown Art committee, and has organized an annual vintage clothing festival (All Goods Fest, usually late July), to his repertoire and isn't slowing down!

Manager: Grisel Delgado

Location: 7143 W Greenfield Avenue

Generation of Excellence Trendsetters provides assistance and resources to high-risk pregnant women. Since opening in 2021, Grisel and her team have not only been providing coaching and care for pregnant women and their families, but also participating in downtown events distributing free school supplies to kids in need.

Julie has had her lash extension business, Lash Out, in the downtown since 2019, but has been in two different locations! She was originally beautifying clients above Aggie's Bakery, but when she saw a location downstairs on Greenfield Avenue was open, she knew she had to make the move! You can check out Julie's great work on her instagram.

Owner: Edwin Ordonez

Open since 2021

Location: 7420 W Greenfield Avenue

When Edwin (left) opened McCoco's in West Allis Downtown, he wanted to create a fun atmosphere with nods to his Columbian heritage. When you enter McCoco's you will be greeted with Hispanic and American dishes, sweet drinks, and even a hookah bar in their backyard patio!
